Sweet. Hopefully this helps LIAC's blood pressure :D

I actually felt it was a sprain after re-watching the game. His reaction on the field and off didn't mimic that of a typical player who suffered a significant tear in a ligament, along with the optimism from Keim, Arians, Ellington, and the rest of the players.

Yep. Just saw this too. What's nice is there isn't too much (or any) drop-off to the Johnson duo while he is out

I have to confess that part of me is more excited to see the Johnsons in action for the next 2 to 3 weeks then I'm relieved that Juke is that seriously hurt. Crazy good depth a the RB position.

To be clear, I'm thrilled Juke will be back soon because he did look electric out there on several plays.

You know sometimes I think I might drink to much at the games, this is the second time I have been at a game and not known that a key player was carted off until I logged on here. (First time was HB).

Good to know it's only 2-3 weeks.

Maybe even less.

From @RapSheet -- MRI for RB Andre Ellington confirmed a minor (Grade 1) PCL sprain in his knee. Out this week, potentially next week.

to be fair to you, he didn't get on the cart until after two trainers helped him off the field.

But yea, you might consider knocking an hour off of your tail-gate party.

First off that is good news, Ellington is a special type of player. He looked good when he was in there.

I will not be shocked if Ellington finds it difficult to unseat Chris Johnson when he is back in 2 to 3 weeks.

Johnson not only looked fast, but patience hitting the hole, and dare I say I saw him lower his shoulder into someone.

Good problem to have, IMHO.

Even when that 2 to 3 weeks is up, will he be back 100% or will be he nursing it the rest of the year. I hope if CJ and DJ do well enough so that AE isn't having to be forced back in if he isn't 100%.

Seeing that he will be only out a 2-3 weeks, KW isn't going to be coming up so they will have to run with just 2 RBs?

Great news. I love the kid but I'm afraid that his legs will never hold up. If I was him take the money and run to a great home outside football. Sad but true.

We still have Stepfan Taylor he's just playing ST only at the moment. I assume he'll move up to #3 with CJ and DJ playing 1 and 2.

Haha, welcome to present day Cardinals football -------------we are beginning to have that kind of depth clear across our roster Cardiac. What a difference three years has made.

Arians: Ellington mild sprain PCL. No timetable. Could be one week, could be three. Not ruled out for Chi.

This makes good sense:

Kent Somers ‏@kentsomers
While Arians didn’t dismiss possibility of Ellington playing vs. Bears, I don’t see it. With Johnson and Johnson, plus Taylor, no sense.

This doesn't surprise me. I go by the "head towel" system. If they have a towel over their head when they're carted off.... bad, bad news. Ellington had no towel over his head, he wasn't grimacing and he gave the thumbs up sign.

I'd rather see him rest up to make sure he's healthy for the Rams game and beyond. We've got a nice stable of running backs and we saw what a dinged up Ellington looked like last year as he struggled through injuries.
