Yup. As is often said, great numbers look terrible laying on the trainers table.

Taking the long view, it's entirely possible his NBA career may end up equivalent to that of (a more athletic) Bill Walton.

Injuries suck but I think they are happy with what they get out of him when he actually plays. Ayton needs to actively look to take more shots. There is no reason he shouldn’t be putting up KAT offensive numbers.

Actually I think a few teams are watching it because there were some clauses put in his contract that allowed to Sixers to waive him if he re-injured whatever hindered his debut. That will save them a substantial amount of money. Who knows when they'll do that, not this summer, but if he's kept out a while they'll consider it. He will get signed elsewhere when that happens. For how much and where is anyone's guess but his career won't be over that quickly. Oden toughed it out and didn't retire until after what would have been his 7th season. We'll see what happens with Embiid. I don't see him going away as quietly as Oden, he lives for the celebrity status the NBA gave him.
