At first, I was against Smith being a Cardinal because my hatred for the Cowboys run deep. Now, I see it like this. Yes, Emmitt would put fans in the stands but he would also do the following. Emmitt would probably be able to help bring in other free-agents we really need by just being part of the team. I think a phone call from the NFL's leading rusher would go a long way if he would do such a thing. I disliked Smith when he was a Cowboy but I do respect him as a competitor and when the game starts he would play to win, this guy knows no other way. He would have a positive influence on the young players. He is still dangerous in the red zone and frankly the Cowboy OL has stunk the last few years. Lastly, it would be sweet to see Smith score on the Cowboys in Dallas next season... boy that would put a lot of hurt on the Cowboy faithful and I'm all for that. Come on,if Emmitt scores next year and is wearing Cardinal red, the points will not be tranfered to the Cowboys. Lastly, the Cardinal fans that show up next year will be just as at home with the people wearing Smith Cowboy jerserys... Plummer and Boston jerseys and blue Smith jerseys are all going to look out of place then but the crowd will be bigger and louder.
