Well the Cardinals have officially arrived in the national spotlight! Seeing Emmitt Smith's press conference on ESPN was great! Cards press conferences rarely, if ever, get covered by ESPN. But this is just the beginning of what Emmitt Smith means to Arizona on and off the field. For those of you who wanted Emmitt you got your man, for those of you who were on the bubble about the idea just pop in a tape of last years Cowboys vs. Redskins (Top 5 defense) on Thanksgiving Day to see what Emmitt has left in the tank- I think about 175 yards against a very good defense. Now Emmitt gets behind a lot better O-Line in Arizona. Dont be surprised if he gets 1,200+ yards. He and Shipp form a great 1-2 punch. Add a few WR's and D-Linemen and 9-7 or better is VERY possible for the Cardinals in 2003!

No more 30,000 fans at home games, FINALLY here comes the 12th man advantage with 60,000+ for most, if not all, home games at Sun Devil Stadium.

Add in a few Nationally Televised games also as the "Emmitt Factor" commands that.

Now they are seriously talking about Junior Seau and if that happens seats will be hard to find for any home game at SDS!

The old days are gone and the new days are going to be great. The Arizona Cardinals have finally arrived!

Go Cards/ Emmitt/ America!

The Cards/Graves stated that they will inquire about Seau come June 1st and not before because the Chargers were asking to much.

I like the optimism of this post but quite frankly 60,000+ and a "few" nationally televised games is a pipedream. We may have more fans at first but unless we win the Emmitt Fans will all go back in there cubbie holes because they arent Cards fans as much as they are of the person. Much like the Bulls of the 90s with Michael Jordan!

We will most likely get our 1 to 2 ESPN Sunday night games and maybe one weekend national game at most IMO. Regardless of Emmitt signing this team just does not have the respect of the Networks or the NFL!

I wish we did but the simple fact is we dont and only winning is going to change that! So hopefully Heres to a Playoff Bound season ahead of us!
