If the cards get a great offer, trade him.
Sadly, they’ll likely only get offered a#1 at best and I wouldn’t trade him for just that.

I’d definitely listen though. Like it, or not, the cards are in rebuilding mode.

3/4 of the pro sports teams I root for have won championships in my lifetime to where I remember them:

Phillies: 1980, 2008
Flyers: 1974-75
Sixers: 1983
Cards: Not yet

Even minor and off league teams I rooted for won:

Stars(USFL)
Phantoms(AHL)
Soul(AFL)
KIXX(MISL)
Wings(NLL)

Cards are my lone hold out.

My Harrisburg Heat came close once but got swept by the St Louis Ambush. It was the NPSL at the time. I remember the Kixx.

Well that's the most positive response I've heard from him since the trade request. Something encouraging.

It's just words, a lot of these players said similar things and next thing you know they are holding out or demanding a trade.

Remember the Atoms? Or the Fury? The latter were part owned by Rick Wakeman, Paul Simon, and Peter Frampton.

Can't say i do. I remember something about those guys owning a sports team but don't really remember what it was about. Did you go to a lot of Kixx games? I held season tickets to the Heat for 7 years. There were some great players in the NPSL. The Cleveland Crunch were always good. Hector Mariano, Otto Orf, Zoran Karic. The Heat had Danny Kelly, David. Bascome, Mark Pulisic whose son is now on the Mens National team. I never understood why indoor soccer died out as it was a very entertaining form of soccer especially with the 2 and 3 point goals and the shootouts. Fast pace and lots of scoring.

He won’t soon be, he will be free after next season.

You can’t hold anyone hostage if they don’t wanna play! Leveon Bell?

His contract expires after the 2020 season. 2 years of control at least. If PP21 wants out, he has no leverage.

If the last 5 are anything like the Chargers game I will not be "enjoying" watching him play. Great career. Not the best leader, role model, and player in 2018. Might be the system that has impacted his play, but his attitude and leadership have been questionable at best.

Curious. How have his attitude and leadership been questionable at best when he’s been voted as captain by his teammates?

Not many although a buddy of mine played with them 1 season.

Patrick's a team player. He talked up Brandon Williams. He talked this offseason about how excited he was to work with Wilks and take his game to the next level. He'll find a way to get excited about whatever new head coach comes in.

If PP21 is making a stink, you have to know that the rank-and-file players who don't want to get the same treatment as Andre Smith are probably PISSED.

He is under contract until after the 2020 season, I don't see Peterson forgoing an entire season to force his demands, he is too smart for that.

depends on the #1.... personally I think a 1 and a 3 is a great offer... but if someone, say NYG...were to offer up a top 10 pick...jump all over it.

This thread sucks, so I’m gonna add some Boyz 2 Men to jazz it up:

They should play this when they fire Wilks and Keim

A #1 plus a capable younger starter somewhere along the defense would do it for me.
