Good find SweetD. I smell a trade coming with all the moves the Suns are making.

Showcasing? Wonder what youngish star is available? McD said that is what he is looking for.

Its about time! I've long wondered why they weren't down there since they were glued the pine here.

I don't see why it would signal a roster move in the making - sending Tolliver and waiving Snell does, of course. Houston is having a fire sale to open a roster spot for Smith at just the right time. Hope McD is all over that!

Houston could be one of the teams the Suns are looking at to make a trade. It's just interesting all the Suns moves are coming at one time. It may hint, that something bigger is going on.

Houston just cut Black and signed Smith. I still can't think who the Suns might be able to get.

I hope so. The stats did not look good for Warren.
Warren took only two shots, and we already know that he can score easily on that level, so I am not at all concerned at his lack of offensive output in that game. He did grab 10 boards. But when the Suns sent down three players at the same time, it was likely that not all three would be able to score like they used to in the D-League at the same time. In that particular game, Goodwin took over and took (and made) most of the shots.

Edit: so having just posted the above, I noticed they already played another game and Warren had 29 points, while Goodwin struggled shooting and finished with 10.

It might turn out that Ennis is the most consistent of the bunch, however, I find myself rooting for Warren the most.

I have a lot of confidence in Warren and the same for Ennis. I have little doubt that Warren will be a good player in a year or two and the same with Ennis once his body fills out a little. I don't know how good they'll end up being but at a minimum I can't see either of them falling short of solid starter.

Goodwin is a different story. I think he has the highest potential of the three but I see him as the longest shot to reach that potential. I can't really put my finger on why I think that about him other than when he does get on the court he just looks lost at times. I saw some of that from Len last year but Alex didn't have the background in the game that Archie does. Maybe the light will come on but I also worry about his attitude.

I am not worried about Warren at all. He has an extremely high basketball IQ. His understanding of angles and timing is the best I have ever seen in a young player. He just needs to become a good shooter, and he will be a solid contributor for years to come.

I think it's odd the Suns sent all 3 down at the same time though. I know they're competing for a playoff spot but Warren & Ennis look NBA ready, Goodwin could definitely use the time in the D-League though. Ennis makes sense down there only because he won't get minutes so long as our 3 PG's are healthy, which is also why Goodwin won't see any NBA time. There should be minutes for Warren though at the forward spots. I hope they weren't sent down just to showcase them in some way for a trade. I don't see the Suns moving all 3 but 1 or 2 of them is a possibility if the right player is available.

Ennis has looked really good down there. I was afraid he was Kendall Marshall 2.0 when the team drafted him but in the limited minutes he's seen he's shown that he can actually run offense plus in the D-League action he's shown he has much more athleticism and a good shooting touch than Marshall. If the Suns are looking to move any of the 3 of them I'd hope they would hold onto Warren & Ennis and move Goodwin. While Goodwin may develop he's more of a question mark than the others. The next game they have is Friday, which is worth a watch given how much time the 3 Suns are playing down there.

Earl Barron is playing for our D-League team also and has played ok. He'd help out on the main roster if Hornacek would keep a center on the court all game. I know he played well in preseason for the team and we have the roster space for him, although I'd rather they try to get someone better it might not hurt to bring him up on a 10 day deal or two. I know it's D-League ball but he's averaging 20 & 10 down there.

Here's a link to the last game if anyone's interested, Friday's game will also be available to watch live through Youtube.

I haven't watched any of their games but I have a friend that lives in Bakersfield and he said that Warren's been horrible on defense. I guess I'll have to check them out on YouTube to see what he's complaining about.

None of the 3 games that they were assigned this time around was at Bakersfield.

Yeah, he's just a fan so he watches them on YouTube. As far as I know the guy hasn't left his house in 20 years so I know he hasn't seen them live.
