I like this move. It seems that Nippert has had his problems this year and Enrique has been awesome. I heard that Enrique will start tomorrow and Vargas start will be pushed back to Monday. With Julio on the roster, it made sense that Daigle went back down

Nippert hasn't had a whole lot of problems down here in Tucson. He is undefeated. Enrique has been good but has given up a lot of unearned runs. He has done that a lot throughout his brief career. Also Russ Ortiz pitched through the sixth last night only giving up two runs. He gave up the two runs in the first inning and looked rough in the first but settled down and pitched 5 scoreless after that. He gave up a lot of hits though.

I watched Nippert pitch against Colorado Springs and he looked horrible. Obviously he has pitched much better in his other outings but Enriques numbers are better- his ERA is a full 1.50 lower (in 13 more innings), His whip is a little lower, and he's given up less walks. Nippert has about the same amount of unearned runs to that of Gonzalez (Nippert has given up 25 R's and 20 ER's while Gonzalez has given up 22 R's and 15 ER's). I guess I would like to see Enrique pitch a little more than Nippert simply cause I haven't seen what he can do yet..... Plus, Cruz just left the game after the 5th with an injury to his throwing arm (****) so we may see Nippert soon anyways.

They didn't have to, but they did. Oh yeah, good prospects get rewarded for good Major League performances by being sent down, to make room for an old fart. :)
