Latest w/ Winston @ProFootballTalk: Eric Winston is closing in on a one-year deal with the Cardinals. Could be done in the next 24 hours.

Not sure where he play. Not good enough to be a LT and all ready have Massie at RT.

Be a 4 way battle for 2 spots with 3 of them being better suited for RT.

or a 3 way battle for one spot with 2 of them being better suited to play RT.

Mike Jurecki ‏@mikejurecki LT Brown, Potter & Massie/ Cooper/Sendlein/ Colledge/ Winston (if or when it becomes official) RT @PriscoCBS: So how do you see the line?

Hell yeah!

Improving the roster is always a good thing.

Adding proven talent still in his prime. Love it.

@mikejurecki @foxsports910 Massie was good the second half of the season. He can be a beast. Wonder if he goes to the left side?

He's been a pretty darn good RT for his entire career.

This has to scream Massie as a possible LT & Winston the RT...we shall see

This is great news. We never have this type of competition and if injuries occur you won't be starting people like Batiste.

Anyone wonder why both the Texans and the Chiefs let him walk?
Seeing some of the Chiefs' fans who are happy he's gone.

This is the way it looks to me but I'm no expert. Anyway I like adding another experienced tackle and let the chips fall where they may. I like the idea of Massie being able to play LT if Brown or Potter cannot get it done.

It was $$$ with the Texans, if I remember correctly, and KC fans were miffed when he called them out for cheering when Cassel was injured.

The only thing that worries me about this is how it will affect Massie. He's the best young tackle we've had here in years. I don't want to screw him up by switching around his position.

Otherwise, I think this would be a solid signing.

Tackle Eric Winston, who played 100 percent of the snaps for Kansas City last season and graded out positively as both a run and pass blocker in a Pro Football Focus review, was close to a contract agreement with Arizona on Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.

Winston had been a mainstay player along the Houston Texans' offensive line until the team released him last offseason in a move widely framed as salary-related. Winston, 29, has not missed a snap in four of his last five seasons.

Matt Williamson, who scouts the NFL for ESPN.com, has referred to Winston as a quality player best suited for teams using zone-blocking tactics. He called Winston best at zone blocking in the run game, but he did not consider Winston to be a liability in protection.

Now we need to bring in a center to push Sendlein
If they sign Winston, maybe it means a total revamping of the OL. Massie/Potter at LT, Levi at LG(maybe that is he was asked to drop LBs), Cooper at C, Colledge and Winston manning the right side. I don't know if I'd like Massie/Potter at LT but I would be ok with te rest of the OL.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Cooper was the starting C over Sendlein. In fact, I'd be very happy about it.

And that would negate his biggest trait & IMO the reason we drafted him...his ability to pull in the run game. I don't see that happening

Why I agree it wont happen Cooper best college tape is when he was lined up at Center.

I've seen alot of teams use the Center to pull. In fact, Pittsburgh centers are always very mobile and Arians has that Steelers background.
