Winston was on a one year deal and from what I can tell was above average. Your opinion, will he be back?

I was extremely surprised that we didn't see B.Massie get more of a shot after all the potential that he showed last year. Can he be our guy next year and save the dough on Winston?

No, and I think you get a real LT and then let Sowell and Massie fight it out for RT.

no question we make LT our #1 priority. Mike Jurecki is adamant that we'll go after B.Albert in FA. If that's the plan I'd have to assume there won't be $ left for re-signing Winston

Hopefully we can pick up Albert in FA, then draft an OT to play on the right side (unless Sowell/Massie can step up).

I hope he is back. If Massie is better I have to assume he would have been playing.

I'm with you.

The past couple of games this Oline has played very well, especially when you take into account the Dlines they were up against. So no I don't think Sowell is our LTOTF but he has shown enough to remain on the team.

Keim was asked what area of the team needs upgrading and he said Oline, didn't mention any other positions.

That's what I think too. Although, if Winston does a team friendly deal, why not bring him back? He's a very good run blocker and he started all 16 games which menas he was clearly better, in the coaches minds, than Massie.

Maybe Massie is gone and Sowell becomes a swing OT because he could back up both tackle positions.

If Winston was willing to sign for a cap friendly number, just for the sake of stability on the line, I'd consider bringing him back, but I would love to see what Massie can do and save a few mil to put towards Brandon Albert.

I certainly hope so. Either him, Eugene Monroe or Jared Veldheer.

I've heard Baltimore is trying like carzy to get him signed to a new contract. It wouldn't surprise me if they used the tag on him.

I'd be fine with Albert but Veldheer does nothing for me. I would rather use the #20 pick on a LT than sign him.

Speaking of RT's if they do re-sign Monroe it would be extremely likely that Michael Oher would be available.

Whatever happens fixing LT is a must.Either thru draft or FA.Fixing this problem is main priority.

"MAAAAN, if we just could've gotten in on that Monroe trade earlier this year for a late rd pick!!!!!!!!!!"

"I think Oher will definitely hit the open market."

here is the problem: neither of them played well for the Ravens.

There was a reason that Jacksonville game Monroe away. And with how poor Eric Fisher played (not my words, I have not seen him played), Branden Albert is not a lock to hit the open market.

His weekly exercise in studying video of the previous game is no longer like torture for rookie offensive tackle Eric Fisher. The first pick in this year's NFL draft, Fisher has recently started to play like it as the right tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Eric Fisher projects as the Chiefs' starting left tackle of the future, but the team has developed a comfort level for now with the rookie on the right side."Every week is going better and better," Fisher said. "Everything is slowing down. Everything feels more natural. I can see it with my play on film."

Fisher projects as the starting left tackle for the Chiefs, perhaps as soon as next season. For the rest of this season, they're committing to Fisher on the right side, even with starting left tackle Branden Albert not practicing or playing because of a hyperextended knee.

The reason was Luke Joeckle who became a season ending IR casualty, I think the following week. The re-building plan was to have Joeckle take over LT and not commit any more money to Monroe so it can be used elsewhere.

The only reason I can see Monroe's price being so cheap, trade-wise, is that teams figured he was hitting the free agent market and not re-signing with them no matter what. We'll see if that happens, or not.
