Peter Schrager said last week that Seattle was also trying to acquire Zach and the Cardinals had to outbid them.

Did you notice a little extra when Zach was giving it to the fans after his first TD? I really don't think he wanted to go to Seattle and didn't appreciate their attempt to thwart the trade.

Maybe it accounts for Zach's big day. Or maybe not.

The best part was when the seahawk committed interference in the EZ. Ertz casually looks at the seahawk player and points down to the flag to show it to him. Totally rubbing it in.

I hated the Conner signing, and really wasn't happy about the Ertz signing.

I'll take being wrong like this all day!

Too many Emmitt Smith/ T Suggs type signings have jaded me.

I understand a little on the Conner signing, but you didnt like the Ertz signing as well? I was ecstatic they picked him up to replace Maxx. Hes still young and he always reminded me of a Kelsey type TE, that's willing to take a beating to get more yards.

I still remember those 100 plus reception years for Ertz and yesterday that 8 for 88 and 2 tds reminded me of that same player. Good trade for Keim and the Cards especially down the stretch. Just a little tougher and more painful to deal with a big receiver down the stretch of the season and he knows how to post up and get position in the red zone. Get DHop back and your receiver room has size on the outside with Green, Wesley and the smaller quick guys too like Moore, Kirk to go with Zach at TE. Huge in winning.

I was fully expecting Ertz to get beer thrown on him. Loved the shuttle pass and Colt's heads up play to pick up a bad snap and get the ball to Zack.

@Brian in Mesa ... would you please take your avatar of Kyler and photoshop Colt's head on it! hahaha

James Conner and Zach Ertz are proof of how being in a bad offense can incorrectly skew the narrative around your ability to produce. Same with nagging injuries as well.

Yeah the interesting thing is some Eagles fans are saying notice how our offense got better after we traded Ertz. It's not because of Zach, it's because the coaches came to the conclusion that with Hurts at QB they need to run the ball so the Eagles are pushing 200 yards rushing a game now. That made Zach expendable, will make Reagor expendable, but they won't get fair value for him either.

Zach was a complete steal for us, I know it's misleading they haven't all been there at the same time but we have 4 guys averaging over 50 yards receiving per game right now. Hop at 60, Kirk at 57 and Green and Ertz at 53.8. When you consider we've been in front in most of our games so we're often not throwing as much as we'd like just to run the ball and use clock, that's pretty impressive.

Zach has 22 catches in 5 games with the Cards and 3 of those games were without Kyler, and he was instrumental in us winning yesterday he was the single biggest mismatch in the game.

I don't think those signings are similar.
The Cards crap out around 80 percent of the time, when we sign a big name player from another team, or a has been who comes to AZ to supplement his retirement.

How is that not similar?

Well to start with Conner is only 26 so talking about his retirement is premature by a LOT.

I know there are others, but you named two who were not only at the back end of the career, but past it altogether. Ertz and Conner do not fit that and both are close/in their prime.

I really don't think a team wanting to acquire you even if you do not like the locale would be considered an insult but rather a compliment from a franchise... as far as emotionally talking or acting smack to fans, Seahawk fans are deserving lol
