ESPN Classic ris doing a tribute to Lute and they are showing the Kansas, Providence and Kentucky wins during the 1997 NCAA tournament.

The Kansas game is being shown right now. This was probably my favorite game. Kansas was so dominant, they had LaFrentz, Pierce and Pollard starting in the front court and had Vaughan and Hasse in the backcourt. I never thought the UofA would win this game but they just took it to Kansas. Great game!

Cool.
Will they also show the '92 ETSU, the '93 Santa Clara, the '95 Miami of Ohio and '99 Oklahoma games as well?

No, but they should show all four Final Four appearances, six Elite Eight games, and 11 Sweet Sixteen appearances.

Even with the loses in the NCAA tournament, the wins trump those loses. The last 24 years have been great and anyone who says they would not want their school to experience what the UofA has is a liar. Only one team can win the tournament and I am so grateful I got to see my school win it all in '97.

Not only the NCAA tournament appearances, the Cats won 11 Pac-10 titles and had so many great wins against teams like Duke, North Carolina, Georgetown, Syracuse, Kansas, LSU, Iowa, Illinois, Florida and many more.

It's been a great ride and I am optimistic that this season they will play well enough to have a shot at the Big Dance. Next year will be tough, definitely a rebuilding year, but it should be fun to see how the team grows under the new coach. It is much easier to rebuild in basketball than it is in football, so as long as the Cats hire the right guy, I don't see them being down too long. Recruiting won't be hard, selling playing time at the UofA will be easy.

So make fun of the Cats early loses in the tournament, not many can say they have enjoyed more success. By the way, the Cats are beating Kansas by two in the second half. I'll let you know who wins.:)

Sounds like we are going after a large name in the offseason.
