Was on treadmill at gym and they had a 90 second with schefter talking about "trade possibilities for Fitz" There was no subtitles and I had no sound so couldn't was actually being said the caption just said what I have in quotes..

Is this just poo on a wall conjecture? Or is there some rumbling of this being a real possability?

I hope for his sake they do it and trade him to a contender with a real chance for a ring. He deserves that chance over enduring the rest of this hot mess of a season unfolding in AZ.

I'm with you. If he ends his career on another team for 2 months it wouldn't lessen his Cardinal legacy for me at all.

if we could get crazy picks I would go for it... but honestly I am more inclined to try and keep Larry here to help our rookie QB develop..

Fitz had his best statistical years when we were bouncing QB's... he would have triple digit catches easily with a rookie QB...he and DJ together make a great safety blanket

ESPN finding new ways to be a provocateur after their SJW campaign shut down by management. Nothing to see here, drive through...

Sadly I don't believe he will be back for rebuild mode..

I don't know man....The way he was talking before the London game was that he was far away from Jerry Rice's all time receiving record, and that he was nowhere near ready to retire as of yet...He could be traded I guess, but it would have to be for a low price due to age...If he does, prolly the Patriots? He's been a Ram killer in his career and so good.

I suggested also that they look for a place to move him. He's given his all here. He deserves a better shot at the glory then he has right now. He's earned that.

Surprised ESPN didn't say that we were offering Fitz, P2, David Johnson, and three first-round picks to the Patriots for a conditional 5th-round pick in 2023.

No, he’s earned his salary that’s it. Remember he re-signed with the Cards. If he wanted to play elsewhere then he could have signed elsewhere.

I still think 11 will honor the last year of his contract..... Carson or no Carson.

Fitz is technically under contract next year, but his contact "automatically voids" after this year, and according to OverTheCap.com he has no salary apogee for 2018.

I'm not exactly sure how that works, but 2018 was only tracked on to spread out his signing bonus for an additional year when he extended his contract back in 2015.

I think even if both Fitz and the Cardinals want him back next year, something has to be done with his contract, whereas if he decides to retire, he will not really be "walking away" from anything.
