Just paraphrasing, but ESPN says they think Nash and Q is one of the top duos, and JJ in the rotation makes it one of the best in the NBA. If we get Q that is! :D

So we go from Marbs and Penny to Nash and Q! Not bad. :D JJ can play the two or PG, so he is a super sub off the bench! :)

Sure about that? What do you base this on?

Oh good grief. So it starts. The JJ/Penny debate all over again.

FWIW Gambo and Ash were saying Q is better than JJ, without question. Of course, they were also saying that Jake is the only center on our roster.

I heard that part of the segment and I wanted to call in but im over my cell phone mins :) People were ripping JJ left and right and saying that Q is better than JJ. It's my opnion that JJ is the better ball player, but he does need to get his act together a little better. Q is a good baller but when it comes down to it, id rather have the ball in jj's hands in the 4th than give it to Q and hope he doesnt shoot a 3.

It would be helpful to get the post trade stats for JJ. If memory serves me, he was shooting about 39% from the field prior to the trade and brought it up to 43% by the end of the season - suggesting he was shooting around 45% from the field.

There are people who complain that JJ has to have the ball in his hands to be effective, but that is deceptive. JJ is not a catch and shoot guy. He can hit the three, but it is not his strength - but that was all he was getting with Marbury. After the trade, JJ became the defacto point guard, so it was logical that he had the ball in his hands more. His assist totals went up and somehow he figured out how to get the ball to Amare and Shawn.

JJ's game will change dramatically with Nash at the point. I took for him to become more of cutter than in the past now that someone will actually pass him the ball when he cuts.

I think Q's game will improve for much the same reason. The Clippers had terrible PG play and he is more likely to get the ball where he can do damage than with the Clips.

I think right now they are pretty equal. JJ has more D, and better passing. Q has more of that killer instinct...

Give them afew years I think JJ turns out to be a better player...
