Where will Amare Stoudemire sign?

Abbott: Phoenix Suns. There's bad blood, but he's not going to find a team that better suits his skills. More likely than 50-50? No.
Adande: Phoenix Suns. I'm told he wants either Phoenix or Miami, so if the Knicks and Nets are taken out of the equation, that makes it practically a coin toss, weighted toward which team's cash is heavier. More likely than 50-50? Exactly 50-50.
Arnovitz: Miami Heat. If the troika can't come to terms on a Miami scenario, the Heat could tap Stoudemire as Wade's low-post counterpart. More likely than 50-50? No.
Coon: Miami Heat. He's been talking extension with the Suns this week, but ultimately his heart lies elsewhere -- teaming up with D-Wade makes a lot of sense for everybody. More likely than 50-50? No.
Ford: Nets. Pierce and Amare may not be LeBron and Bosh, but they immediately make the Nets relevant and dangerous. More likely than 50-50? No.
Hollinger: New Jersey Nets. Phoenix, Miami would be co-favorites in this race. More likely than 50-50? No, way less.
Sheridan: Miami Heat. It'll be him and Wade as the cornerstones, with the rest of the cap money split on second- and third-tier free agents. More likely than 50-50? No.
Stein: Phoenix Suns. After all the trade speculation and tension, Amare will ultimately decide that life with Steve Nash is better than life without him. More than 50-50? No.

Most list the Heat as the strongest contender to Phoenix, but no one seems to think Amare's defensive limitations will turn off Riley or that his history of injuries limit how much Rile will offer.

Well in Amares' head we all know he thinks he is unstoppable and it has nothing to do with Nash.... now reality is that Nash is a huge reason Amare even has success. I am almost to the point where I say screw this idiot let him leave and watch him struggle the rest of his career with his pathetic ball handling and no back to the basket game and no defense playing....rebound what the hell is a rebound... I just want to score game become someone else's problem!

Right now the discussion is over the extra $16 million Amare might get somewhere elese. It is a lot of money if he does not believe he will get a new contract four years frnm now. My feeling is that he will still get $8 to $10 a season in 4 years now. If I'm right, he's trading a good situation for $6 to $8 million over 5 years.

Stoudemire is probably a 20/9/1 guy wherever he plays. He was a 20/9 guy before Nash, he's a 25/9 guy with him. So Nash ~ 5 more points per game, but he doesn't "make" the player. He enhances.

I always said, besides Suns, Miami and Nets made the most sense as Amare destination. Pairing with Wade would be the optimal for him, who is a good p&r guard and a dominant scorer for creating some space of manuvor in the paint.
