Upton also was 19 when he made his major-league debut, and like Junior and A-Rod, he was a No. 1 overall pick. He's incredibly athletic and doesn't look the part of a slugger until you see him swing; he's so fast and makes such solid contact that he's going to hit home runs even now before he's filled out physically. He played shortstop in high school, and he's now a plus defender in center with an excellent arm. Upton already has one home run -- just 757 to go, or thereabouts -- and he'll benefit from playing in a good home run park in Arizona, not to mention nine visits a year to Coors.

Just the Upton part.

Well, he has a ways to go, but you can see that talent already.
