My buddies and I headed to Tuscaloosa on Saturday morning under ominous rain clouds which threatened to wash out the preseason's camp second scrimmage. And true to form, the bottom fell out about an hour prior to the start of the practice. Fortunately for the players, the rain stopped right before kickoff, and turned out to be a gift as the gray skies and cool weather made the grueling ordeal much easier. The staff in the Ivory Club Suite opened the retractable windows as the practice started allowing us to clearly hear Alabama head coach Nick Saban, and especially, the always animated, strength coach Scott Cochran, barking out instructions and revving up the players as kickoff approached.
