The Atlanta Falcons continue to travel the country scouting prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL draft. After visiting Marshall's pro day on Monday, the team was again out in full force for Ohio State's pro day on Wednesday.
Fresh off a National Championship, the Buckeyes are loaded, especially on defense where the Falcons need the most help.According to NFL Network reporter Stacey Dales, Raheem Morris was one of six head coaches in attendance while Terry Fontenot was among the five NFL general managers to show up for the Buckeyes pro day.
Some potential Ohio State draft targets for Atlanta include J.T. Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer and Tyleik Williams. Tuimoloau and Sawyer are edge prospects and Williams is an interior defensive lineman. All three players are projected Day 2 picks and could be in play for the Falcons in the second round.
Since the Falcons don't have much draft capital, they could potentially trade down and add additional mid-round picks. In a class that features several talented edge rushers, Atlanta cannot afford to come away from another draft empty-handed on defense.
Fontenot has found plenty of offensive talent since taking over in 2021, but aside from Arnold Ebiketie, the team hasn't hit on many potential long-term starters on defense.
The Falcons did re-sign defensive lineman Ta'Quon Graham in free agency, but he's been mostly a rotational piece since being drafted in 2021. Cornerback Clark Phillips III has shown some promise and could play a bigger role this season.
