Dear Mr. B or Michael or whomever writes the checks:

Thank you for paying Larry an enormous amout of money so he would stay here. Having him on this team is really something special.

I always wondered, is Urban free to write what he wants or is there a Cardinals official looking over all of his stories? I don't read his stuff often. Is he negative about the team often?

He works for the Cardinals-- so it impacts everything he writes. You trade objectivity for access.

That being said, for a guy who works for the team, he isn't a Pollyanna about them.

I don't know about that...the article about Roberts' blocking ability when he couldn't catch a cold was pretty Pollyanna.

Years from now we'll be proud to say we got to follow the entire career of one of the best receivers that ever played the game.

Two things:

1. It shows how a coach like Todd Haley can make a very good player even better with the right kind of coaching. I'm not sure just how much Dennis Green pushed Larry, but Haley wasn't going to accept good-enough, and we all saw the result of that 'coaching.'

2. It means Larry is an outstanding example to his teammates of how never being satisfied with where you are now, and always wanting to improve and be better is indispensable. If a guy with the talent of Patrick Peterson will work as hard as Larry has, and hone his skills against Larry everyday in practice, he can be the next Champ Bailey IMO. That makes Larry even more valuable to this franchise.

one of my favorite Fitz memories has nothing to do with a ridiculous catch, TD or block. It was watching his reaction to Hightower scoring the go ahead TD in the NFC Title game. Larry leaping around like a little kid was just awesome.

Good Post Shane-----It is so very easy to get caught up in game stuff, and overlook what Fitz has just accomplished, because it has become expected. None of us really show him the appreciation he deserves on this team.

When you consider all the things that we don't expect from him, like the blocking, and getting the ball back to a deserving QB or RB for a special play, or the careful tongue lashing that he occasionally gives a DB in practice for not playing hard, he is waaaay over the top in deserving credit that we have not given. We are so truly blessed that he wanted to stay a Cardinal. We owe him so much more credit than we give him. God bless you Larry FItzgerald.

Fitz catch where he jumps in front of Goldson, grabs the ball, and does a 180 in the air in the opposite direction and scores is one of the most amazing catches I've ever seen.

He's an Alien.

The catch I thought was just meh. (Fitz standards of course) The spin that he did in the air to turn him towards the endzone was what was key to me. If he doesn't turn mid-air, there is no way he scores a TD on that play. Great heads up play.

The spin move was part of the reception and is what made the catch special. Unbelievable that Fitz could turn like that. Maybe he has special air brakes.
