Ya gotta love Hollywood. The two FF movies grossed well over $700 million in box office and DVD sales. What a loser, eh? Yeah boy... let's reboot that!!

P.S. The combined budgets for the 2 movies was about $200 million.

The move away from the "lollipop" like scripts is the best trend ever for comic books movies. Comic books, in my mind, are better when they are dark and show the true conflicts of the characters.

However I hope they never do Frank Miler's last Batman where's Bruce Wayne is a 60 year old crazy guy

You may be the only person on the planet that doesn't want to see that made into a movie.

I think Bruce Willis in a couple of years would be perfect for the old and crazy bruce wayne.

I actually thought some of the casting worked for the FF movies. I loved Chiklis as Ben Grimm and I was pleasantly surprised by ...shoot, the guy who played the Torch...I don't know why I'm blanking on his name. Anyway, I though they did a decent job of casting the The Thing and the Human Torch.

Hyperbole aside ( :) ) I guess it would kind of ruin the Batman character for me. That depiction was pretty creepy

I guess I can see that. But, Batman is a pretty f'd up character; I think it only makes sense that as the world gets darker around him and he continues to lose the ones he loves he goes off the deep end (even further off the deep end, the man dresses up like a bat for chrissakes).

That would be awesome casting. Who would be the old Superman?

The bigger question is who will play the one-armed Green Arrow. That's just brutal.

Mickey Rourke! He should just have a jet standing by and be moved from movie to movie where a burned out old guy is needed.

Sam Elliot as the one-armed revolutionary. Long-white hair and all. He could whip out the Ted Turner impressions for Oliver Queen.

Yeah, he crossed my mind and could really pull off a sweet Green Arrow goatee. He's one badassed dude.... with Harry Dean Stanton and Scott Glenn, he's one of those guys who's been old looking even when they were young

Nice - add Roy Schneider (RIP) to that list.

Other than Kate Mara, this cast is terrible and I am not sure she is good for this role, I just like her in general.

Also, can't wait to see how they explain how Johnny Storm and Sue Storm are related.

Wow. Just when I thought Hollywood couldn't get any more devoid of creativity. This will make, what, 5 super hero reboots? Let's see:

Batman
Superman(twice)
Hulk
Spiderman
Fantastic Four

So, how long before the X-Men reboot?

Yeah. Not only a re-boot but a PC version as well. I don't get it. There are actual black super heroes they can make movies of. Do they not think that these can stand on their own merit so they have to PC up an already existing group? Why not re-do Steel? Not that I'm for reboots and all but that Shaq version was brutal but Steel is a great character? How about a sequel to Green Lantern but with John Stewart?

There are plenty to choose from without redoing the race of other roles ala established villains like the Kingpin in Daredevil, or Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Bleh.

Marvel: Blade, Black Panther, the latest Captain America film does have the Falcon, X-Men have Storm and now Bishop, Deathlok is going to be on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage will be on Netflix, the Avengers had a black Ms. Marvel years ago who was popular, War Machine in the Iron Man films, Ultimate Nick Fury in films - played by the man he was modeled after, etc.

DC: John Stewart/GL, Cyborg/Teen Titans, Connor Hawke/Green Arrow, Steel, etc.

Image: Al Simmons/Spawn

That's just a sampling. There are many more heroes and villains to choose from. If they want more black superheroes and supervillains - create them rather than transforming established ones, IMHO.

Michael B. Jordan is the best actor in that group. Don't care that it is different than the Marvel universe.

Doubt I will see it in the theaters because to be honest Fantastic Four is one of the lamest super groups in Marvel. Back when I collected the only time I bought that comic was if it had a crossover with a character/group I actually liked.

Cyborg is an actual member of the Justice League and from what I've heard will be in the Justice League movie whenever they finally get to that.

Methinks this is going to royally suck.....

Rumor has it they are changing Victor Von Doom from the ruler of Latveria to a hacker with the screen alias Doom.

Sadly, I am not kidding.

:|

Doctor Doom will be very different in the new 'Fantastic Four' film

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/11/...ery-different-in-the-new-fantastic-four-film/

In an interview with Collider, actor Toby Kebbel, who’s playing Doom in the forthcoming remake, dropped a pretty big bomb as to the nature of his character.

“He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story,” says Kebbel. “The Doom in ours—I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m ‘Doom.'”
