I know many here were tired of the QB dlilema he created the last few years...will he play or won't he, but I'm giving the guy his due!!! His career is now over & we as fans were privlidged to watch an incredible streak end of a great HOF player. Not many players played the game with such a passion & production that Favre had. Hats off to you old #4 for making football fun to watch for many fans & have a great rest of your life

It's a damned impressive record. Congrats to Favre. It's really amazing that he kept getting back up after the beating he takes week after week.

I hope it's ended because of a legit injury, and not for fear that the Sturger thing would end it (the thought being that it ends because of something that happened within the game rather than the streak being tainted by something scandalous).

It is impressive. I'm just tired of the guy... Please, just go away...

Much respect, he deserves to go to the HOF, but he shouldn't have played this year. Warner must of had a better alarm clock or something.:)

I agree, he should have hung up the cleats, but many athletes can't pull the plug until it's too late.

damn fool, by the time he's sixty he'll be using a walker to get around, all that wear and tear adds up as the years pile on, getting out of bed will be a chore for that hillbilly
he should have quit 10 years ago

I never like to see someone injured, regardless of who it is, but that was one heck of a hit by Arthur Moats. Moats is a guy I was really hoping we'd be able to nab.

I am betting we hear Favre mentioned more times than Jackson this game....even with Favre on the sidelines. I am sick and tired of hearing about him.

I wonder what his financial situation is. He's beginning to remind me of Willie Mays and Steve Carlton at the end of their careers.

You guys kill me with all the Venom towards #4. Yeah we all got sick of hearing about him the last 3 years, but we may not ever see a guy who was more dedicated & passionate about the game. The guy was 1 hell of a player & leader, and his funny loving style of play will be missed.

Not to mention, he's still probably one of the best 32 QBs on the planet, even at age 41.

I disagree there. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a more selfish QB in the NFL. I don't think he has many leadership qualities at all.

Doesn't mean that he can't lead. Ask his teammates what kind of leader he is, I'll bet they don't give two craps that he's "selfish," they care that he can take them on his back, make everybody around him better and score the TD for the win in the final seconds.

I bet if asked the players who played with him, they would tell you that that is a ridiculous comment.

It's amazing how many broadcasters would gladly get on their knees for Brett. Once he retires and is inducted in the HOF, that will be the wad shot heard around the world.

The streak is crap.....about 8 or 9 years ago,....somewhere around game 198, green bay started an injured Favre, he handed off three times, they punted, he never came back in the game....the whole purpose was to keep his streak alive.....the last 100 games have been meaningless in extending the streak.

yup i was watching sports center and some reporter was setting up for an interview with brett and old brett walks in the room while dude has his back turned, and slaps him on the ass,
and dude is like "oh you brett favre you winky winky;)"
believe me i understand the comradeship of team sports but if you see one of your team mates off the field at the mall or something you don't run up and slap their ass in front of god and everyone,
now that i think of it it might have been mooch from nfl network,
i'm trying to think if mooch ever coached him somwhere and can't think of any of the top of my head, unless he was a coordinator for him on some team way in the past,
but still i wouldn't appreciate playing grabass with some old jock i used to coach, i'd probably let it pass in the instance that it was an old player i coached or something but i'd be thinking to myself what a weirdo
all things being equal though i much prefer the helmet slap to the ass slap anyway,

not that theres anything wrong with that:D

Warner is not a first ballot HOF'er. Farve most certainly is.
i have to disagree with that simply based on the fact that he took this moribund franchise to the superbowl gets him in first time around, his accomplishment with the rams notwithstanding i think had he not come here and did what he did he might not have been first ballot,
but i think he is now, i sure wish he'd go in as a cardinal but i guess he'll probably be inducted as a ram

You need to do more than that to be a first ballot HOF.

You don't go in as a certain team in the NFL. You go in as a player.
