BYU and ECU too low. Auburn way too high - beating Mississippi State 3-2 is pathetic.

How does Florida State climb into the poll by beating two VERY BAD FCS teams that NAU could beat by 30?

Big 12 is well represented. Agree on ECU, Jon but not sure about BYU. Wait a week before trashing ASU. Georgia/ASU is now a Georgia trap game, just like UNLV was for ASU.

Early season polls are one of my pet peeves. The preseason polls are a popularity contest and it takes about 8 weeks, if ever, to begin to reconcile. I try not to pay attention to the first half season polls, for anything besides amusement. They lack credibility and other than the need to fill out the polls with some teams, they are useless.

I generally agree. Problem is, people get stuck in "Well, I have been ranking them this high, so I can't drop them" mentality.
