Roger Federer has opened his bid for a sixth consecutive Wimbledon title with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 win over Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty. Federer won the first eight points Monday to set the tone in the opening match on Centre Court against his former doubles partner and dominated throughout the 1-hour, 19-minute match.
