I like him but could he take Y. Bell's place as our SS. Calvin is listed as a Free Safety. Just wondering if that would be an issue??

I could be wrong, but to my eyes he looks like a run support SS at the NFL level, much like Adrian Wilson. The concern is once again, can he cover a TE? They've been our defense's weakness.

You are certainly right with that being our biggest need. I just don't know what pro scouts look for when going for a strong safety. Adrian Wilson was an impact hitter in his prime.

Not if Barr is available when we pick or even going with Dee Ford, a pass rush would help our secondary even more than a safety :)

At this point I'm hoping that Anthony Barr falls to 20, if not, I want Calvin Pryor as I think he can play SS in the NFL. For some reason I'm not too enamoured with Dee Ford, he looks too small and from what I see doesn't have too many moves when rushing the QB.

I'm iffy on Dee Ford but he does project to most as someone who can get to the QB. Yes, rookies can contribute and especially when it comes to situational pass rushers but Abe and Dockett need to have a understudy for the future. You draft for the years to come because a rookie will not fill a position to their potential in the first year

Hey az jam-----the neat thing about Prior, is that he has the strength to play up in the box (ala A-Dub), and the speed and length to play center field and cover big tight ends. He can do both. That is why Mitch was so high on him. I would think that Keim would be also.

I believe it will be a matter of whether or not he is BPA when our selection comes. That may be how SK plans to build our roster depth. Fill holes via free agency, and draft for BPA. Over time, that is the true ticket for long term success. We will just have to wait and see how this plays out.

Sign Chris Clemons in free agency! And Phillips OLB. Take best available between SS, DL, OLB, CB with first pic.

Thanks, that answers my original question. I just wonder if the Cards would pick him in the first round if he is there. I guess that really depends on who else is available.

Anyone else seeing the Twitter conversations between Ryan Clark and the Cardinals? Sounds like he wants to be a Card.

Yep yep and more yep.

LOVE that guy. I'll post it all over ASFN.

All of the highlight films I see of him I swear I'm watching A-Dub in his prime. Just faster.
