Safari is the default browser on your Mac provided you are using OS X and not OS 9. Icon looks like a compass. As far as I know there is no OS 9 version of Firefox so you must be on OS X. If for whatever reason you don't have it installed follow the link below.

http://www.apple.com/safari/

It should be able to "find" plugins for Real Media, Windows Media Player, etc but I don't know for sure because I don't get plugin crazy.

In the Firefox toolbar click on tools then options,in the options window click on downloads,in the file types area click on plugins and see if there is a check mark next to quicktime files. As for Real Player, what is it doing? Dose it not play video or sounds when you click on a link or when you click on the link does the Real Player window not fully open? I have a problem with links that need to open a real player to view video and the window opens smaller than it should and does not play. There is an extention you can download that when you right click on a link you can select "Open target in IE" View in IE

there is only TIFF image and WINDOWS MEDIA under the plugins and both are checkmarked....quicktime files(and anything else) is not there. as for real player, if the site is set up to where it opens quicktime's viewer then it works...but for sites that have the video playing on there page then the video doesn't show up.

Then I would go to the plugins website and download all media plugins for your Mac.
