The Miami Dolphins recently used South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori on a visit ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Emmanwori has a chance to be the first safety taken in the draft class after earning First-Team All-American honors in his final season with the Gamecocks. He followed that impressive year on the field with one of the most impressive performances ever at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
The 6'3, 220-pound safety finished his final season at South Carolina with four interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, as well as a team-leading 88 tackles.
In most mock drafts, Emmanwori has landed in the back half of the first round. However, a few experts have pegged Miami as a potential landing spot for the athletic safety. That includes Draft Wire's Jeff Risdon who predicted the Dolphins make Emmanwori the first safety off the board later this month.
Miami overhauled its safety room in March, allowing starters Jevón Holland and Jordan Poyer to both reach free agency. In their place, the team signed Ifeatu Melifonwu and Ashtyn Davis to compete with 2024 sixth-round pick Patrick McMorris and special teams ace Elijah Campbell.

Nick Emmanwori is a SS prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored a 10.00 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1 out of 1086 SS from 1987 to 2025.
