For the first time in the entire history of college football, both Notre Dame and Michigan have begun the season 0-2. Michigan is the all-time winningest program, and Notre Dame is...well, Notre Dame. I thought that this historic first merited its own thread.

Very happy about Notre Dame, though they'll find themselves in a BCS game again somehow...I don't care much for Michigan but would rather have them win the conference than Ohio or Iowa.

No way Notre Dame makes a BCS game this time around. No way, no how.

And it will probably be either Penn State or Wisconsin that wins the Big 10 this year. Ohio State also has a shot.

I watched some of Wisconsin's game last night. They didn't look too impressive.

I wonder how Skkorp's handling the savior Weis getting his ass handed to him by a guy and a program he said was over the hill a few years ago.

Is everything
Just goes to show how skewed these pre season polls are. For all we know Cincinnati is as good as Wisconsin or Texas at this point.

Gloat all you want, gentlemen, term used loosely, by next year this Irish team will have matured into a competitive one.

And this year, they'll upset somebody, don't know who, maybe Navy.

I am 36 years old. I cannot believe that ND beating Navy has become an "upset." That is pathetic.

Agreed on all points. You have a talented young QB and a brilliant coach.

That was a joke. Notre Dame plays four patsy games at the end of their schedule.
