We didn’t get much snow on the South Shore this year but a group of talented female high school student-athletes made their way around all the gates to get to the MIAA’s Alpine Skiing State Championship on Feb. 23 at Berkshire East Mountain Resort in Charlemont.

When the snow cleared we came up with four worthy nominees for the honor of The Patriot Ledger Girls Skiing MVP. Make sure to vote for your favorite.

The Nominees

Libby Rogers Jr. Hingham

A multi-sport athlete, Rogers has also had a lot of success with the Harborwomen field hockey and lacrosse teams. Her skiing skills are top notch, finishing sixth in the Slalom and 12th in the Giant Slalom this year at the MIAA Alpine Skiing state championship race.

Aislyn Shaughnessy Soph. NDA -Hingham

The sophomore is already making noise on the volleyball court and the ski slopes. The underclassman was top 15 in both the Slalom (11th) and Giant Slalom (15th) at the state championship.
