LOL Fitz & Peyton

On report they are having dinner in Indy this week, Kent Somers tweeted, 'most important question is who pays?' :D

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on January 22 that the Arizona Cardinals
have “real interest” in quarterback Peyton Manning, who is expected to become a free agent when the Colts decline his $28 million roster bonus before March 8. Schefter was adamant that Manning will be pursued by Arizona.

Larry Fitzgerald is making Schefter look good.

According to Tom James of the Terre Haute Tribune Star, Arizona’s All-Pro wideout is expected to dine with Manning in Indianapolis this week. James points out that Fitzgerald and Manning are friends, but reports Fitzgerald “would like Manning to consider [the] Cardinals” if/when the Colts release him.

Even if nothing comes from all of this, it is great to see Arizona in the media and as an organization that is looking to bring in premier players to imporve. I love all of this speculation and hoopla.

Dang, I almost posted that we needed to keep an eye on these two to see if they had dinner together. You all would have thought I was a genius if they do, lol.

Peyton's house makes sense. No media lurking. Nice homey atmosphere and Larry can tell Mrs. Peyton how warm it is in AZ right now.

Bet Manning buys as Fitz has a reputation for knowing how to save his money.:D

Yeah!

Maybe Larry takes him to that restaurant chain he has the endorsement deal with. I think its IHOP?!? ;)

Not gonna lie. I got goosebumps when I read this. Yeah, yeah, I know. Doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but still cool to hear.

Cardinals’ Fitzgerald plans to meet with Peyton Manning

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgeraldhttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6762/news is looking to connect with Peyton Manninghttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4256/news.

The two plan on having dinner this week in Indianapolis, according to Tom James of the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. Fitzgerald hopes to recruit Manning should the quarterback get released by the Colts and be healthy enough to play.

Fitzgerald had another big year for Arizona in 2011, catching 80 passes for 1,411 yards. Arizona traded for quarterback Kevin Kolbhttp://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/8290/news during the last offseason, but he struggled through the year. He suffered from lingering concussion symptoms late in the season and missed four games earlier in the season because of a right turf-toe injury. Kolb finished with just 1,955 passing yards.

Manning remains the Colts' biggest question. After missing the 2011 season because of a neck injury, what Indianapolis decides to do with its iconic quarterback remains a mystery, as does his level of health.

With larry out flirting with manning, hard to see positive future with Kolb, whatever manning decides

I disagree. Just because your best player is kicking the tire of arguably the greatest QB of all time doesn't mean the guy you have is chopped liver. We still should be a perennial playoff team with Kolb and another offseason, but Peyton is Peyton. You have a chance to get the greatest, you do it.

Plus if Kolb gets his $7 million bonus on March 17, that sure should ease any concerns or hurt feelings.

What do you base this belief on? There no evidence to support Kolb being a franchise QB.

It's starting to be reported that this isn't actually happening... :(

Fitz was on with the local guys who are in Indy and he said it's not true at all. Said he doesn't even have Peyton's phone number. He said he probably will bump into him this week and give him a hug.

When pushed on if he'd like Peyton here - Fitz said "I want what everyone in Arizona wants - to win."
