Do we know the severity of the injury or what happened? How long is he out? I was at the game...and noticed he was on the bench while the office was in the game..and he never returned (I noticed him missing like early in the 2nd quarter)..I did not have a radio - so it is hard to tell what is going on. I did not notice him being injured...but noticed immediately when he was not in the game.. Assume he tweaked his ankle. since I stayed until after the game...I did not hear much of the post game show on the radio...so I am a little out of the loop....

Thanks..

Hamstring problem, he felt it pop in the first quarter when he was trying to make a block during a Boldin catch.

Larry Fitzgerald caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Leinart, then left the game late in the first quarter with a hamstring injury that Green said "looked fairly serious."

Fitzgerald said he would get an MRI on Monday.

"I've never had a hamstring injury or really an injury, period," he said.

That's basically half the season right there, he's not overly fast to begin with 6 to 8 weeks if he's not rushed back IMO.

It's a bad injury for a WR.

Thanks...I just found a quote on Yahoo regarding the injury..should have looked there first! Anyway...Green was quoted as saying "it looked fairly serious"... That sucks....our offense completely died when Fitz went out. We could have used another receiver on the active list today. Putting bergen at a wide out is not a solution...we were obviously down to boldin, walters and Johnson...I think they had a four wide out set a few times and Bergen was the 4th receiver.

That's funny, I thought that Fitz played most of his rookie season limited by a high ankle sprain suffered early in the year.

Its pretty obvious that while he looked healthy out there he was probably favoring the good ankle thus causing undo stress on the othe rleg and the tear/strain. But a "pop" doesnt sound good at all and he will miss some considerable time!
