Empire Online talked to Bill Nighy (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Love Actually) who mentioned which character he is playing in DreamWorks Animation's Flushed Away.

"I play an ex-laboratory rat who's got brain damage from exposure to too many hallucinogens," Nighy says. "I'm called Whitey. I'm an albino ex-lab rat and I'm in a double-act with Andy Serkis, who you all know as Gollum. We're supposed to be the hard guys, but in fact we're useless at it."

The Aardman claymation feature, opening November 3, 2006, tells the story of an uptown rat (Hugh Jackman) who is flushed down the toilet from his penthouse apartment into the sewers of London, where he has to learn a whole new way of life.

Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen, Simon Callow, Geoffrey Palmer and Shane Richie also provide voices.

Oops: Not claymation as I said earlier.

Flushed Away, its first foray into CGI animation. Hitting theaters on November 3, it features the voices of Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Bill Nighy, Shane Richie, Geoffrey Palmer, Simon Callow and Jean Reno.

Not usually into reveiwing kids movies, but I watched this yesterday with my son. Not really impressed. Not nearly as witty as Madagascar or some of the other more recent kids flicks. This was actually pretty boring in stretches. I'd imagine kids with a short attention span would get bored pretty quickly.
