Josh Booty won the competition and will compete for a position on the Diamondbacks team. If he fails, the Cardinals could always try him out. :)

Kevin Millar is not funny. And I know what it means to not be funny.

Azlen - What are the odds that I was posting that at the same exact time?

What would be interesting is to have Loria lead a discussion with Towers on how to most effectively trade low if the two clubs got to negotiating

The odds are pretty good if you follow Ken Rosenthal on twitter. :)

I really don't think that there's going to be any negotiations happening. But I am sure that Towers can find another couple of teenagers to trade if it comes to that.

don't follow rosenthal or have a twitter subscription .... just a marlins fan following all the exciting news of spring training ... such as former failed prospects that are apparently still club property working out for the local team

I swear this guy is stalking my sports existence ..... he was one of the marlins earliest and most touted draft picks .... he spent way too much time in Elmira playing short season A ball which is the closes park to where I grew up and I went to many Pioneers games .... eventually he landed on the seahawks ... then over to the browns (by dad and brother are big browns fans) ... now he's here in AZ learning the knuckleball - which was the first pitch thrown in Marlins history as Charlie Hough was their opening day starter

it would make sense that he would end up back with the marlins somehow and that there would be this complicated wrinkle ... after all, in his giant bonus there was a no-football provision that had to be settled before he could "retire" and go to LSU

as for trades the marlins are full of teenagers .... apparently "baseball people" think that they are pretty good .... I don't think any of them are really making enough to be trade bait yet though
