I luv' this board. ...And though I've never met any of you, you're like family to me. I know there's alot of frustration over the $$-haggling going on. We read this/ we hear that. We know nothing of the Future and we desperately don't want to see things go back to "Same ol' Cards". Especially now, since we've gotten a taste of success. BUT, last year, when we started to struggle and the media got ugly and turned on us like a bunch of wolves, WE RALLIED. ALL THE WAY TO THE SUPER BOWL!! Call me naive' BUT I flat-out refused to give in to all the negative-stuff.
When I look at these Cards how different they are from the old Cards. We have mgmt. that's commited to winning; a STRONG head coach & competent staff; a BEAUTIFUL stadium to play in; a scouting dept. that knows how to draft; and I think the BEST part of all, an EXCITED fan-base. So, if all this crap, which will eventually be flushed and forgotten, is getting to you?? Pop in your DVD of the Championship victory over the Eagles. Thrill to the big early lead; Feel the mounting concern as the Eagles rallied to take the lead; re-live the edge of your seat drama of 4th & 1 near mid-field and 3rd & 9 from the goal-line; and finally, EXPLODE in the sheer JOY of watching red confetti fill your TV screen!!
Of seeing our players dancing, crying, laughing, hugging... Re-live UofP going KRAZZY!! ....And see if you don't feel a whole lot better! Hmmmm?? Think I'm going to take my own advice! Keep the FAITH, my friends!! IF success came easy we wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much. GO CARDS!!
