The Arizona Diamondbacks have joined the Josh Fogg sweepstakes. That means that three teams - the Rockies, Giants and Diamondbacks - are pursuing the free-agent pitcher. The Rockies have offered Fogg a guaranteed contract, but have made it clear that he would have to compete for the fifth starter's job against Kim and Zach Day, or come out of the bullpen. Fogg went 6-11 with a 5.05 ERA for Pittsburgh last season.

Thoughts?

Fogg would be foolish to sign in Colorado.

Name fits Frisco... :)

But, I would think he would be a good addition for the Dbacks.

I think he would be a great addition for the Rockies... cuz then we can have batting practice when we go to Coors!

The Rockies appeared to be fading in their efforts to sign pitcher Josh Fogg. Fogg is believed to be leaning toward a deal, which carries a guarantee in excess of $1 million, with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I like the move, if it comes to frutition. I think Fogg is much better than he's looked in Pittsburgh. He'd be a good #3-#4 pitcher for the DBacks and at $1 million, that's a pretty reasonable bargain.

It's never a good idea to have a Fogg in Chase Field.

I am not impressed w/ him at all. His stuff is below average and I feel tat Halsey or Vargas will bring more to therotation than him, unless he goes to the bullpen.

Josh Fogg - S - Rockies

Rockies agreed to terms with RHP Josh Fogg on a one-year contract.
Fogg becomes the favorite to act as the Rockies' fifth starter over Zach Day and Sunny Kim, but a healthy Day is a better pitcher and Kim might be, too. Fogg would work best in the bullpen. He has a 4.93 ERA as a starter over the last three years, and he's not a groundball pitcher, so Coors Field figures to hurt him just as much as it does most pitchers. There's hardly any chance that he'll have fantasy value. Feb. 9 - 3:35 pm et

Woohoo!! Now Rockies got a flyball pitcher in the best hitter's park in the league!!
