1. Have there been any teams that have played each other during the regular season and also in the Superbowl besides this year's Superbowl?

2. Have there been any teams that have played in their own stadium in the Superbowl?

3. What is the difference between a tailback and a halfback?

On Item 2, the closest it has ever come was 1/20/1980 when the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl XVII at the Rose Bowl.

What about when the Niners played in Stanford stadium? that's pretty colse to being a home field. From wikipedia:

In January of 1985, Super Bowl XIX was held in Stanford Stadium, bringing a renovated press box, increased restroom facilities, and new locker rooms to the venue. (In the game the Bay Area's own San Francisco 49ers defeated the Miami Dolphins 38-16.) Stanford Stadium is one of two venues (the Rose Bowl being the other) to host a Super Bowl without previously serving as the home stadium of an NFL team.

MESA! :thud:
I was talking about this yesterday...

Is this the first time that both teams playing in the Super Bowl have never played in the hosting stadium previously? (I hope that made sense).
