Are the security guards in other cities' stadiums as annoying as they are at our stadium? After so many years of getting felt-up just to enter the stadium and being told to sit down several times, I've been wondering whether it's like this in other places.
In the past, I've attended games in Houston, Oakland, and San Diego but it was all before 9/11 and I don't think I paid much attention.

I have never been told to sit down in any stadium. There is a pat down on the way in, but it isn't very thorough. I still routinely bring in a few beers or pints of my choosing.

:yeahthat:

Been to a few Blazer and Lumberjax games with a pat down or look down. Nothing beyond that.

I for one am tired of the SAFE clowns doing whatever they can to eliminate a football enviroment. These guys are on a power trip and just seem to like messing with people.

I too am curious as to what other people have experienced in other stadiums. Those that I have spoke to have ALL said they have never experienced the kind of harrassment that is dished out at Cardinals home games.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one getting fed up by the way that our security treats us. I swear I will never understand what they are searching for when they frisk us.....and it's worse for the women. Yesterday had to watch as some butchy woman pretty much fondled my wife and then her purse was checked out better than they do at the airport!
And once were inside, I feel we get treated worse than criminals. If one of those little trolls had put their hands on me one more time telling me to sit down, I swear i was going to march up to Mike Bidwill to ask him if they really do want "home field advantage" or not. I'm not one of those people that stands the whole game. The guy behind me brings his kids to the game and they are great neighbors and I would never want to obstruct their view.....I only stand when I can't see or when it's 3rd down and were on defense and usually everyone in my section gets on their feet on 3rd downs. I just don't get it......we pay good money and behave well. So why do we get treated like that!?

I've been to Solider field, Qualcomm, Candlestick, Qwest, and U of P and I can honestly say without a doubt the SAFE clowns are the worst. It's really not even comparable.

But it's still better than SDS was. Tazers don't fly out every two seconds at U of P.

I have been to a lot of Suns games, and never been told to sit down. All i have heard was(on your feet Suns fans). As for the S,A.F.E. guys, and gals i have not had problems with them.I have been so old and banged up this season that one was there at almost every game to help me to my seat.If i don't get a lot better i will most likely be in a handicapped seat next year. When patting me down one of the women raked her fingers across the top of my colostomy pouching system.I told her if she wanted to see what it was she would have to escort me to the rest room,as i would not uncover that thing out in front of God and everyone else.LOL.

I did the broncos/chiefs game last season as part of the ASU v Colorado game football weekend. I have to say the fans in my section policed themselves. some fan was piping off on Plummer with F bombs and the like and the fans pretty much screamed him into submission.

the tailgating puts anything I have seen here to shame. simply Fing amazing.

these have been some experiences at suns games:

1. told to cheer more quietly b/c the woman was trying to listen to the game.

2. told not to talk to my friend (about how our respective days had been) b/c the woman was trying to listen to the game and couldn't concentrate. she got security. we explained to security what our discussion was about. he looked at the lady like she was on crack.

3. cheese got thrown out of a suns game . . . ask him to tell THAT story. classic.

I've had the SAFE clowns tell me to not heckle the Pittsburgh and Cleveland fans. No personal attacks - I just crack on their decaying Rust Belt crapopolises. "We want to make it a pleasant experience for our out of town visitors." Like anybody in either of those cities would be so kind to a fan in Cardinal red.

That is what I say too.

Two games ago I drunkenly screamed to an opposing player to go copulate with his mother.

Dont think our players dont get 10x worse on the road.

I only went to one game this year, the Falcons game, but when I did I have to say the SAFE guys are total pieces of crap. At one point two kids ran down the aisle to look over the gate and the SAFE guy ushered them away...they werent doing anything wrong, in fact the mascot was approaching. I immediately started talking about the "Big Man" SAFE security guard who could only pick on kids (given I was pretty drunk, but I'm a big guy)...and sure enough, he lightened his mood up quite a bit after that - I realize there is no way I would win in the long run, but these jack asses are just on a huge power trip. I miss the old south end zone in SDS :(

We were scolded this past week by a SAFE guy for telling some of the Rams players they "suck". Yup, we were told that "suck" is not an acceptable word so of course about 10 of the fans in our section told the SAFE guy he "sucks". He walked away shaking his head....good times.
