The Arizona Cardinals landed a much needed addition to their defensive line on Thursday by signing former Alabama Crimson Tide DT Dalvin Tomlinson to a two-year $29 million deal, with $16 million guaranteed. Tomlinson was initially drafted No. 55 overall in the 2017 NFL draft by the New York Giants before spending a couple of years with the Vikings and Browns.

Tomlinson started 32 games over the last two seasons with Cleveland where he had six sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 54 total tackles. He has been an iron man through his career, having started all 125 games of his professional career and only didn't play a full season once. Despite being a middle of the pack defense last season, the team has addressed it as a major concern, also signing Josh Sweat, Akeem Davis-Gaither and Mykal Walker.

During Tomlinson's time in Tuscaloosa, he was a two-time national champion and finished his collegiate career with 122 tackles and four sacks after a monster senior season.

Dalvin Tomlinson gets 2 years, for $29M with $16M guaranteed. A really nice deal. https://t.co/gwrBgeXFLt
