Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is back in the AFC North as a member of the Baltimore Ravens and had some things to say about the division upon arrival.

Speaking with Garrett Downing of the Ravens' official website, Awuzie said he's on the "right side" of the AFC North as he gets underway in Baltimore.

“I’m really excited,” Awuzie said. “I know this is some real dog-eat-dog world out here in this division. It’s really last man standing type of football. You’re gonna really fight and claw to see who’s gonna win each game. It doesn’t matter the person’s record at the time. These games always come down to the wire. I’m excited to go against all these teams, and now being on this side of it, I think I’m on the right side.”

We could file this one under the what else would he say? column and call it a day, sure. But it still smacks pretty interesting to see a former player address joining a rival within the division.

Awuzie spent several years with the Bengals during the rebuild and contention heights before going to Tennessee last year.

Cut after one season with the Titans, Awuzie is now with a Ravens team that swept the Bengals last year.
