Former Green Bay Packers coach Mike Sherman is turning to a familiar face – and the most popular new player in the CFL – in an attempt to save his current job in Montreal. Sherman’s Alouettes completed a trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and acquired quarterback Johnny Manziel, the former Heisman Trophy winner who Sherman helped recruit to Texas A&M before the 2011 season. The Alouettes have started 1-4 in Sherman’s first season, partly due to recurring injury issues at the quarterback position. Montreal sent Hamilton two first-round picks, a defensive lineman and a receiver for Manziel and two offensive linemen. The Heisman Trophy winner in 2012 and first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns
