Former Seattle Seahawkshead coach Pete Carroll is one of the decision makers that will help shape the 2025 NFL draft. His Las Vegas Raiders are slated to choose at No. 6 overall. Carroll and the Raiders have a difficult decision to make, and in true ironic fashion, what they do will directly impact the Seahawks' draft board.

The Raiders could take that selection in a number of directions. Carroll traded for former Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith earlier this offseason, insinuating he's interested in turning this rebuilding team into a contender. That could make Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty a target if he's available.

Despite attempting to accelerate the rebuild, Carroll's Raiders have several holes throughout their roster. A wide receiver like Tetairoa McMillan could also be in play. The Raiders never properly replaced Davante Adams after trading him, and someone like McMillan could fill a DK Metcalf-like role for Smith in the passing game. The Arizona receiver has also garnered interest from the Seahawks throughout the pre-draft process.

The Raiders also have questions at EDGE rusher and offensive tackle. Perhaps Georgia's Jalon Walker, an alignment-versatile pass rusher would be familiar to Carroll. At right tackle, Missouri's Armand Membou could also be in play, and that would guarantee one less lineman available to the Seahawks at No. 18 overall.

The Seahawks will be paying close attention to the decision Carroll makes.
