The NFL draft will take place April 24-26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Several former Vols, including James Pearce Jr., Dont'e Thornton Jr., Dylan Sampson, Omarr Norman-Lott and Cooper Mays, are prospects in the 2025 NFL draft.
Tennessee had three players selected in the 2024 NFL draft: Jaylen Wright to Miami (No. 120 overall) in the fourth round, Joe Milton III to New England (No. 193 overall) in the sixth round and Kamal Hadden to Kansas City (No. 211) in the sixth round.
Ahead of the upcoming draft, NFL Network draft analyst Chad Reuter released a five-round mock draft with former Vols selected in the first four rounds. Below are former Vols projected in Reuter's mock draft.
Projected team: Tampa Bay
Round: 2
Pick: No. 53 overall
Position: Defensive line
Pearce Jr. totaled 71 tackles, 29.5 tackles for a loss, 19.5 sacks, one interception, one touchdown, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery from 2022-24 at Tennessee.
Projected team: Tennessee
Round: 3
Pick: No. 92 overall
Position: Wide receiver
Thornton Jr. totaled 39 receptions, 885 receiving yards and seven touchdowns from 2023-24 for the Vols after transferring from Oregon.
Projected team: San Francisco
Round: 4
Pick: No. 113 overall
Position: Running back
Sampson appeared in 35 games from 2022-24 at Tennessee. He recorded 2,492 rushing yards, 35 rushing touchdowns, 40 receptions, 342 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown and 28 kick return yards.
Projected team: Arizona
Round: 4
Pick: No. 135 overall
Position: Defensive line
Norman-Lott played in 23 games for the Vols from 2023-24 after transferring from Arizona State. He totaled 44 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.
