A Player of the Year was also selected, which came as Jaxon Salenbien of Adrian Lenawee Christian, who eclipsed the 2,000 career points mark this season.

The honorees from Hillsdale County include senior Thomas Maier of Will Carleton Academy, senior Mikey Plemmons of Hillsdale Academy, senior Landon Monahan of Waldron and junior Seth Williams of Waldron.

The three seniors were all nominees for reader's choice player of the year. Plemmons led the Colts to a sixth straight SCAA East championship with a 14-0 record in league play. He averaged 13.3 points per game, 4.1 assists and 2.5 steals.

Maier led the Cougars to a historic program high of 17 wins this season, which included a CAC conference championship run, their first title since 2013. He averaged 13.5 points, 6.1 boards, 4.3 steals and four assists per game.

Monahan and Williams were pretty much even across the board with around 14 points each game helping the Spartans break a 16-year district championship drought and a total of 18 wins. Monahan had six boards and three assists per game. Williams averaged nine boards per game and shot 59.3-percent from the field.

All four athletes earned first team all-conference honors. Plemmons was named the SCAA East MVP. You can read more about their season accomplishments at hillsdale.net, and readers can check out the full all-state Division 4 honorees below.
