As the Texas Longhorns prepare for the 2025 campaign, they have also had their eyes on the future. Over the weekend, they hosted four-star linebacker Brayden Rouse for a visit. The Georgia native is ranked the sixth-best linebacker in the 2026 class. He has 45 Division I offers, including one from Texas and one from his hometown teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

After leaving Austin, Rouse did not hold back how good of an impression Steve Sarkisian and his coaching staff made. The talented linebacker highlighted how they made him feel like a priority.

"The way this visit went, it made me feel like I was a priority for them," Rouse said about Texas.

During his school career, Rouse has been a human highlight reel. In 19 games, the Georgia native has recorded 112 total tackles and six pass deflections. He has also made life difficult for opposing quarterbacks with 3.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. After playing mainly on the offensive side of the ball as a freshman, he has excelled on both sides of the ball the last two years.

When Rouse isn't frustrating offensive coordinators, he is a threat in the passing game. The Kell High School star has hauled in 39 receptions for 552 yards. His ability to thrive regardless of the position has increased his value and drawn the interest of some of the top programs in the nation.

Rouse's visit with the Longhorns was one of the many stops he has made during his recruiting tour. So far, he has visited the Alabama Crimson Tide the most, followed by Georgia Tech and Michigan. He has not scheduled any official visits for the summer recruiting window.
