Owings Mills (Maryland) recruit Nick Abrams, a four-star linebacker from McDonogh School, has set his commitment date for his birthday, July 16. He will choose among his top five schools: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and Penn State.
Penn State, the first to extend an offer to Nick Abrams, has hosted him for multiple visits. This month, he made his initial visits to Alabama on March 17 and Georgia on March 15. His visit schedule continues with a return trip to Penn State on April 5, followed by his first visit to Michigan on April 12, and then his first look at Oregon on April 19.
“Georgia is a great school. It is a great academic institution and it was great to see their first spring practice. Coach Schumann talked to me a lot, and even before this visits, he came up to my house and we watched the AFC Championship game together. We felt at home around him at Georgia and we learned a lot about each other. At Georgia, everything is coordinated with the strength coach and nutrition. Then at practice, the juice was going. The practice energy was great and I saw how great of a coach and guy coach Smart is," he told On3 (Subscription required).
Abrams is ranked as the No. 212 recruit in the country. Abrams, who is a member of the class of 2026, is the No. 15 linebacker in the nation and the No. 6 prospect in Maryland. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker could be the latest Maryland product to commit to Georgia. Former UGA linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson played high school football in Baltimore, Maryland.
Kirby Smart and Georgia football currently have six commitments in the class of 2026 including two commitments on defense.
