Fox Sports ruined my day

What the hell is with major league sports and their blackout rules. I live in Albuquerque where there is no major team, yet I still am subject to blackouts. I refrained from watching anything sports related just so i could watch the replay of last nights game.

What doesn't make any sense to me is that all D-Backs games are on as well as the Rockies games are shown. If I were want to watch any other Fox Sports Net, since I pay for all of them, the games are blacked out.

Obviously I'm a noob when it comes to blackout rules, so can someone let me know why I'm gettin shafted? I watch all 16 games at my dad's house via SUnday Ticket. I'm using Dish Network right now and paying 6 bucks a month for blackouts.

Same problem here in Seattle using Dish network .

I think the blackouts are strictly due to the NFL ticket.

Same thing happens on Direct TV since the games are on the ticket those channels look like they work only until game time then go dark.

In the preseason it's because the NFL network has the rights too the games.

The NFL Sunday ticket has exclusive rights to those games, the only other channels that will not go dark are your local channels carrying the game if it's in that market.

I can watch the Chiefs game on my local fox channel anytime even though it's also on Direct TV because the game isn't blacked out here ever.

I added the DirecTV Sports pack specifically to watch a few D'Back games during the season. Being on the East Coast, the only games that weren't blacked out for me were the Orioles on Comcast, which I got for free anyway without the sports pack.

I realized that I was wasting $12.00 a month when the only program that I was sure wouldn't be blacked out was the World Series of Darts.
