http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebas...-staffer-Bilal-Batley-broke-NCAA-rules-040111
Basically details how a guy who used to work for him at both UK and Memphis was violating the impermissible phone calls rules for years calling recruits when he wasn't permitted to be involved in recruiting at all. He was dismissed by UK when they self reported he'd been rebounding shots for a recruit on a visit and UK self reported the violation since as a non recruiting staff member he wasn't allowed to have contact with the recruit.
FOX did a 2 year investigation and got numerous players both those who played for Calipari and those who ultimately signed somewhere else, on the record that this guy Bilal Batley was calling them repeatedly recruiting them for Calipari against the rules. If I'm reading it correctly they imply Batley continued to do this even after he was dismissed by UK(because they talk about calls to 2012 recruit LJ Rose and I think Batley was fired before he could be calling Rose under the rules).
It's not the sort of thing that would vacate this final 4 because it doesn't appear any of the kids on THIS team were called by Batley, at least they're not in the article. But it is of course a major violation and get this, before working for Calipari, Batley worked for... Kelvin Sampson, the king of impermissible phone calls at OU and Indiana. So not only has he done this before, Calpari knew he had when hiring him both times.
