Blockbuster just shipped me the first disc for this. I can't wait to watch it. I'll even move it ahead of Sactown's garage door painting.

Plot Summary

Genres: Comedy, Drama
Tagline: Everything you remember from high school... that you choose to forget. [Fox Family tagline]
Plot Outline A television show about two unique groups of teenagers dealing with life in high school during the 80's.

This board contains a treasure of advice. I didn’t hear about this before I started reading these boards. I read/researched this and I’m really looking forward to it.

Man, if I wasn’t coaching my son’s baseball team I could easily crank this out in a day or two. Having a plethora of free time, while your company goes out of business rocks.

I took a 3 hour lunch today to watch 4 episodes of The Office. This is the funniest show I've ever seen. (except for Married With Children, but I think I already posted that somewhere here).

I own this dvd set, and at first, eventhough I could definitely relate, it just did not hit me as hard. Bu the end of the season though, the cast had definitely grown on me. This show is not perfect, but is REALLY good at doing what it did. Overall I give it an 8 out of 10.

Bill has got to be my favorite character, his sense of humor cracks me up.

Donald, if you ever want, I could let you borrow the complete season so that you can watch them whenever.

Adam is ripping them out to DVD, but thanks anyways.

I love Bill...he is freaking hilarious. He's definitely one of my favorites.

I relate on some level with all the characters, or know someone just like them. We have a good friend who is exactly like Kim Kelly. I've had the "you don't appreciate me" argument the Weirs have.

I love this show because it is so real...no drawn out storylines, nothing but really good characters and everyday situations.

Plus, I remember the first time my friend got Atari...man, that was fun. :)

I also can relate with most of the characters in the show. This series had so much potential, and that is part of the reason why I do not like it as much

(because it ended early and left a few stories hanging

Knowing that I only get the show for one season didnt stop me from buying it, rather it is actually one of the shows that I regret not following when it was on the air, so it would have lasted longer.

Veronica Mars is also on this list too. (will be DVRing until I can watch S2.)

Oh, and I am also upset that I did not buy the limited "Yearbook Edition" on DVD.

This thread is making me think of the theme song...

"And I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation....."

Yeah, but you can't blame that on the show...gotta put that on the network for moving it around, not advertising it and then cutting it short without even a full season run.

I hate that the networks play hot potato with shows that are actually good, and I think it is awesome when shows win Emmys after the network gave up on them, like Freaks & Geeks did.

i love the mom singing "monster mash."

She's so "mom" in this show.

When she broke up with Nick for Lindsey I cringed, because my mom had done something similar...not to the girl, but to the girl's mom

In fact, I find my reactions are so on with the characters in the show on everything...and Lindsey has the absolute BEST facial expressions and reactions.

What she did was crap, but not entirely her fault.

Lindsey told her mom that she was taking care of it, and she was trying to be PC instead of keeping her mouth shut. I also cringed btw.

It is actually making me mad that the show was cancelled...coming up on the final episodes of the show is kind of pissing me off.

I can see your point a bit, dc...cancelling this show was a loss and that angers me. I want to see it go somewhere.

See, this is what kills me about "good to excellent" shows;

The show premiered as The Seinfeld Chronicles on Thursday, May 31, 1990 on NBC. The show was not an immediate success. After the pilot was shown, on July 5, 1989, a pickup by the NBC network did not seem likely and the show was actually offered to Fox, which declined to pick up the show. It was only thanks to Rick Ludwin, head of late night and special events for NBC, for diverting money from his budget, that the next four episodes were filmed. (To which he admitted in an interview for NBC's special "The Seinfeld Story." In fact, because the first episode order came from the Late Night and Specials department, Seinfeld is technically not a sitcom, but a very long series of comedy specials. After nine years on the air and 176 episodes filmed (along with 4 clip shows,) the series finale of Seinfeld aired on Thursday, May 14, 1998. It was watched by a huge audience, estimated at 76 million viewers. Jerry Seinfeld holds both the record for the "most money refused" according to the Guinness Book of World Records by refusing an offer to continue the show for $5 million per episode, and another record for the Highest Ever Annual Earnings For A TV Actor[4], while the show itself held the record for the Highest Television Advertising Rates up until 2004, when the final episode of Friends aired[5].

I remember that. I said to my wife, "Hey Hunny, that guy plays in VM"

She gave me a blank stare, :(
