Fried Alligator anyone?

Is that place Papa Deux's still there in Phoenix? They serve fried gator as an appetizer, I tried it, it was very bland. If I didn't dip it in the sauce they gave there was hardly any flavor to it.

I had gator sausage in New Orleans...with spicy mustard. Freaking outstanding.

Yes, Pappadeaux is over by Metro Center. I've been there once--wasn't impressed. If I ever make it back I'll try the 'gator appetizer, but at least if it's bland I won't be surprised! :)

I had the fried gator at Pappadeaux's and I liked it. :shrug:

My mom is from LA and everytime we go, my dad takes us to the aligator farm. He usually eats like 3-4 'gator-based foods.

I find it to be rather fatty, but pretty tasty.

Interesting. Alligator appears like it would be meaty.

That farm sounds cool. LA as in Los Angeles or Louisiana?
