Offering 1st and 3rd

Sounds like they are driving up the price but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the Cards saying that offer would be too rich for them.

I'd be fine with that. We can get Hasselback for nothing and then get one of the QBs in the draft next year. Much rather trade our picks for an Andrew Luck/Matt Barkley/Landry Jones than a Kevin Kolb.

Remember Kolb still has to sign off on the deal (considering no one is trading for him unless he signs a long term deal) and given what he has said recently, he has mentally moved to AZ, do you really think he wants to go to Seattle where he would have NO WEAPONS, play in the cold windy rain, and not give him a fighting chance to succeed??

No, this is an example of Seattle simply trying to drive up the price for the Cards... call their bluff, and move forward..

Well, so far this summer I've heard the Seahawks are going to re-sign Hasselback, trade for Kolb AND add Leinart to the mix. Charlie Whitehurst must be feeling really secure right about now. I have mixed feelings about Kolb but when it comes to a 1st and a 3rd, my feelings are rock solid. DON'T DO IT.

I just think it's INSANE for the Bengals to force him to retire and not deal him. I realize there is some principal involved here but for the owner to get nothing out of a guy like Palmer to prove a point only hurts his team.

But I'm just dreamin.

Just to reiterate, I heard this on my way home by Pat Kirwan on Sirius NFL Radio. Googled it and misread the date.

According to Kirwan, that deal has been rehashed (sources say).
