I got this from STLtoday.com Forum Index:
"The Cardinals are an embarassment in themselves.
The embarassment will be if the Rams don't dominate every aspect of the game.
GreenBay is totally embarassed from the game last week.
The Raiders were just as embarassed by not dominating Cincinnati even with a win, as they are embarassed by their Monday nite crussing by Denver.
Lets hope we're not embarassed by the Cardinals."
"In looking at some of the sports sites, the Cardinals look like one of those teams that can, and will, sneak up and bite other teams. They are very young, but do have some talent. They are not a good team, but looking past them will likely cost the Rams a win.
As a Rams fan, I am concerned the Rams are looking past the Cardinals and have not come to grips with how much more limited they are on offense right now compared to where they were not so long ago. Frankly, I think that if the Cardinals can play with some discipline they may sneak up and bite the Rams, or at least make this game a lot closer than it ought to be. The Rams should dominate this game, but I'm not writing that W on my schedule in ink just yet. "
"Very seldom in the NFL does a below average team have a big upset two weeks in a row. Therefore, I can't imagine the Cardinals winning at St. Louis. However, last year we just barely won, so this game could be a tight one, plus you never know in the NFL and you can't expect a blow out, especially the way this team has been playing.
By the way, from the recap of last year's game, does any of this sound familiar?
"But Bulger was intercepted twice and struggled in the second half"...
"He made some throws that he doesn't usually make, and he needs to be a little bit more disciplined than he was at some times in the second half" Martz said... "Obviously, I made some big mistakes and put my team in some bad situations," Bulger said."
"I don't think that will happen because there's so much at stake for the Rams... plus, I think they're pretty (fired) about last week (I read Bulger is for sure). One other reason why they ought not be looking past it - next week's a bye.
Let's hope they crush them, get a good feeling going into the bye, practice enough to stop some of the leaks (special teams, lack of fullback blocking, etc.) and come out firing agasint Green Bay... two straight might just be what the doctor ordered..."
Interesting how they think about us... WE HAD BETTER WIN!!!
