A men’s college hockey season that began all the way back in early October will soon be ending, with confetti falling from the rafters and a champion skating triumphantly around the rink while hoisting a trophy proudly in the air.

The Frozen Four, the sport’s preeminent event, will begin on April 10, when the four remaining teams in the 2025 NCAA Tournament descend upon St. Louis with dreams of a national title firmly in their hearts and minds.

Unlike in men’s basketball, where all four No. 1 seeds advanced to the Final Four for just the second time ever, the NCAA hockey tournament has been a bit more unpredictable, with none of the four No. 1 seeds in the 16-team event making it to the national semifinals. Among those who have advanced to this stage of the tournament are two national powers: Denver, which has won two of the past three NCAA championships, and Boston University, which has five national titles in its decorated history — while Penn State and Western Michigan are making their first-ever trip to the Frozen Four.

As the Frozen Four approaches, here’s more information about the event, including the teams participating in it, the schedule for the event, how to watch it and more:
